Is a pizza delivery driver a decent job?

I'm in high school right now, and I'm looking for a decent job that I can do part time. I like to drive a lot, and I found 2 job postings as a pizza delivery driver. I think it's good too because it's mostly night work and I heard that some can make a killing just off of tips. I'm just not so sure though......Any thoughts?

If you have to use your own car it can be worth it if you have a car thats good on gas and your delivering in the right neighborhood. You have to be 18 to deliver pizza pretty much everywhere. Its an easy fun job if you know your way around.

I've tried for a few positions myself trying to see what it'd be like. One of my friend's did it and he barely made enough to pay for the gas he had to use. I would only consider it a decent job if the company paid for gas.

If for some reason they do have to use their own car, I think they're getting something like 41 cents a mile. You do have to provide prood of insurance either way and a DMV statement of your past... Well i honestly would not call it a decent job. I work at pizza hut and it is just temporary until i find something better. I am a driver and i just dont seem worth it. They pay me min. wage while i am in the store and 4.50 if i am on the road for delivery. They also pay 1.03 per delivery. Plus your tips you keep. But... More

I thinks its a decent job if you have a car that gets good MPG like a hybrid for example. A pizza job could buy you a Prius.
