How likely is it that i will get this job with a theft misdemeanor?
I got a call from Payless Shoes, and i have an interview Thursday @ 1:30. I am not too excited though. I just got denied a job from Leslies pool supply after 2 interviews, they wanted to hire me but specifically said because my record i couldn't work there. I got a theft misdemeanor last year in August. I am wondering if payless has a requirement that says no to that or what?

Probably not very likely. Payless is usually run by only a couple of employees during any one shift . . . making it easy for them to steal or allow a friend to steal. Retail stores are not likely to hire you with a theft conviction considering employee theft is their biggest source of loss.

Forget any job where you would be handling cash. That includes retail.

If its theft which is stealing you probably wont get hired anywhere.
