Target store clerk---rude or just warning or both?

Target always seems to be metldown central for me and my daughter...well first ehr then me lol. She's 3 1/2. anyways, we were on our way out when my dasughter started begging for a icee. Anyways I add that detail in b/c it's harder to read ppl when I'm already frazzled or annoyed bc of my daughter. I dont get paid til tommorrow and all out of money, just went there for my wic items, and we looked at toys for a little whiile, but then on our way out it started. I said I could give her a cup of water but she didn't want it. I admit for a split second I felt like getting a cup and filling it up with a bit of icee instead, but I asked the store clerk for a cup of water and she told me to go to starbucks instead. I went and got a cup from them, didn't ask for water, they gave me one, and I went back to the machine with soda and icees. Maybe I was paranoid cause of what I seriously considered doing but wasn't gonna do, I know it's wrong and haven't for years, but the same clerk was watching me. She had no expression just watched me very suspiciously. ajs: 7uck you bitter old b-i-tch!

She was probably watching you because it's her job to make sure that no one is stealing beverages they didn't pay for and it had... More

The Target store clerk was just doing her job. Part of her job is to watch out for potential thieves and shoplifters. It was nothing personal. If you did take some ice she would have called the manager. Since this was a very minor situation the manager probably wouldn't have done anything but let you go with a... More
