Should i accept this job offer?

I've been offered a job as a SQL database analyst. I graduated last year from university (masters degree in networking) and then I worked for Cisco for 6 months. I would like more work in networking but I can't find any at the moment. Would working as a SQL database analyst play against me in the future? Will future employers tell me that SQL and networking are not related at all so I'm not a good candidate? I have the CCNA and I'm planning to sit CCNP route and switch soon. Thanks for your advice.

If you can't find anything, go for it. Besides, it'll look good that you're broadening your horizons, getting more experience.

If you can't find anything in networking at the moment and you have an offer, any experience is better than no experience. Go for it

Nobody will penalise you for taking a job if that was the only option at the time. How big is the company offering the job? There may be opportunities to move into a networking related position once you are employed by them and they know what you can do.
