Is there any chance that a World Championship match be the opening match of Wrestlemania 28?

To be honest, I don't like this idea because originally the World Championships matches should be the final 5 matches of Wrestlemania since it is one of the main events. They should put a good opening match with another match like a WWE Tag Team Championship match(I hope this match will happen).

BQ: Do you think that this Wrestlemania 28 has too little matches on the card since it has only 7 matches only?

Absolutely. In fact, I would say it's highly likely.

Ordinarily, I would say that a world title main event shouldn't open the card under any circumstances. After all, it's a "world title" match, right? So naturally it's going to overshadow just about everything else on the card. That isn't the case this year. This year, we've got two matches, Cena/Rock and Triple H/Undertaker, which are blockbuster main events in every sense of the term. Both of them deserve the main event spot of the show and neither of them involve a "world" title.

Punk vs. Jericho is going to be a fabulous match, but it just won't measure up to those other two. With the sheer star power involved, it can't, no matter how great of a job Punk and Jericho do. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus have it even tougher. They're fighting for the significantly lesser of the two "world" championships in the WWE, which puts them in a hole to begin with, and they're also lacking in raw name drawing power. Sure, Sheamus is the Royal Rumble winner and looks to be set as a cornerstone of the WWE moving forward, but despite being the champion for some time now (and the defending champion heading into the biggest show of the year), Bryan still feels like a mid-carder to most people. He doesn't seem like a guy who should be headlining Wrestlemania. And when you compare them to Cena, Rock, Undertaker, Triple H and even Punk and Jericho, they just don't stand a chance. They're essentially a mid-card match, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them open the show come Wrestlemania.

It'll be tough for the two world championship bouts to stake out a real and memorable place for themselves this year because quite frankly, they're punching above their weight class with those other two matches on the card.

BQ: We could easily see a bonus match or two thrown in, and I think we'll see some very long bouts as well. Cena/Rock and Undertaker/Triple H are both going to go at LEAST 30-40 minutes each. Punk and Jericho won't be quick either. I'm presuming the Team Long vs. Team Laurenitis match is going to be elimination style, so that should flesh it out to around the 20-25 minute mark.

I'm not worried about the lack of matches this year.

This is why you need a MITB match for Wrestlemania. Ditch the MITB PPV and get the match back at Wrestlemania where it belongs. That match opening Wrestlemania gets everyone in the spirit for it.

Huge feeling that Kane vs Orton will be the opening match
Answered By: Chris JeriTROLL - 3/15/2012
No. World Championship is a big championship, its not worthy of an opening. I would rather put the Intercontinental Championship match as the opening of Wrestlemania 28. It's alot more smaller. I know IC titles in the old days were big, but now it's just trash.

BQ: No. It's really big. You have got the biggest matches! Rock vs. Cena, Y2J vs. Punk. alot more.
This wrestlemania compared to last year's. THIS WM IS BETTER.
Answered By: Ryuuza - 3/15/2012
I think it shouldn't be called wrestling at all. i think it should be called fake since so many people seem to think that this is actually a sport.
Answered By: Tristan - 3/14/2012
No, it should not be the opening of WM28.

BQ: I like that it has 7 matches because it means more time for the big matches Taker/HHH/Punk/Y2J/Rock/Cena

Big Show vs Cody Rhodes or Randy Orton vs Kane or Teddy Long vs Johnny Ace should open Wrestlemania.

BQ: Yes
Answered By: Professional EdgeHead - 3/14/2012
I agree with you,the World Title match is supposed to be a Main Event but we all know that it won't be as Rock vs. Cena will be the Main Event. So I think the world championship match will be 4th on the card.I would like to see Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes open the PPV as the opening match at the Grandest Stage of them All must have some credibility.I would like to see the matches in this order at WrestleMania 28-

Opening:The Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes/IC title match (The opening match at the "Grandest Stage of them all" should at least have some credibility)
Match 2: Team Long vs. Team Laurenitis(No one cares about this match)
Match 3:Randy Orton vs. Kane (It can be a good match, fits in this slot)
Match 4: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan/WHC title match (Should be 4th on the card as it is World title match because it can't exceed into any further slot as other matches are more important)
Match 5:Triple H vs. The Undertaker Hell In A Cell Match (End of an Era? This match fits here)
Match 6: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho/WWE title match (It should at least be the 2nd Main event)
Main Event: John Cena vs. The Rock (The Main event of a Lifetime)

BQ-It might have too little matches on the card but the card looks awesome. After quite a time I'm feeling that it's WrestleMania time. The card looks promising. The quality of the matches hopefully will be good.

Yeah, it's confirmed. And yes it sucks, but it makes sense, trust me, read this and you'll understand where I'm coming from:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1105523-wrestlemania-28-cm-punk-vs-chris-jericho-to-open-the-show-smart-booking

BQ: Once you read that, you'll probably understand why there is only 7. Also, there are things called time restraints
Answered By: David-WS-Falcon - 3/14/2012
I heard that Punk vs. Jericho will go on first with the HIAC in the middle of the card and Rock/Cena as the main event. This will probably change however. I prefer the traditional style of leaving the biggest matches till later (meaning the four main events taking place in succesion in the second half of the show).

BQ: No, they need to give a lot of time to the main events - the HIAC match especially.

I think Team Laurinaitis vs Team Long should be the beginning match of Wrestlemania or Big Show vs Cody Rhodes for the intercontinental title. I don't really see why it would be bad if it was the first match because in my opinion, Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan seem's like a boring/squash match cause Sheamus has been built up alot more than Daniel Bryan and i think that Daniel Bryan still feel's like a mid card wrestler because he just wasn't built up properly while Sheamus was built to not be beaten that easily.

BQ: I think that is kinda little since it is, after all a Wrestlemania but i think they did that so the Team Laurinaitis vs Team Long match could be long since it is probably gonna be an elimination tag team since it is 6 v 6 and wouldn't it suck if it was just a tag match with 12 people?

To be honest as well, yeah, you're right, a good show saves the best for the last!
Well , I think that the 12 man tag team match for Gm position on both shows should come first.
Second there sould be the daniel bryan vs sheamus or big show vs cody rhodes
And of course, the taker vs hhh match should come just before the last one, the main event, Cena vs rock. And I think yes that there should be something of a tag title and divas title match in this event.

BQ answer:- With all these matches, yes there are only seve, but wrestlemanias nowadays ( wrestlemania 26 had 10) only have 8 matches. And it would not be bad if they had the tag team title match first and have a divas championship match on the card as well. The u.s title would also be nice, and if we DO have 10 matches in total, yes,it would be REALLY the greatest event in sports history!!!!!!!

I think it will they seem to be doing this a lot in recent years, with the amount of titles they have now it seems to be the only logical way around it, instead of having title match after title match
Answered By: Jay - 3/14/2012
To contradict everyone I can understand WWE opening with a title match (if rumors are to be believed it will be Punk/Jericho) This year there are a lot of big matches (the two main titles, HHH/Taker, Rock/Cena) It's hard to spread these out over a card without a big draw match falling flat because the audience hasn't had the time to re cooperate. So to answer your question Yes and I think it will be the WWE title which I'm fine with as long as they give it enough time... Jericho said years ago "The two most important matches on a card are the first and last one because they are the one's everyone remembers..."

BQ: I think we will likely see a divas match added to that line up - I'm hoping for Kharma vs Beth - which would make eight which I think is more then enough.

I know my question is sort of like telling you to pick your own poison. I've seen wrestling companies big and small come and go. And seen wrestling careers start and end in just a handful of years. I can imagine the huge debt burden for a promoter if his company does poorly. And for a wrestler the travel expenses is the stressful part of that life. But which wrestling job is harder based on risk and reward?

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

Basically- no degree, although I have tried completing one in the past and stopped because of physical and mental health issues which were overwhelming to deal with along with going to classes full time. I'm not stupid and I am quite articulate. I am 23 and have only worked for about two years retail in high school and stopped working to go to university. I worked a few months in 2010 retail after I dropped out but it was only a seasonal position, and the only reason why I have not been able to constantly work is because of mental health issues. I had also tried going back to community college during my free time since i left university in 2008/9 and I had panic attacks while in community college, which made my anxiety worse from then on. Well recently I met a good doctor and he prescribed me some meds that are stabilizing my moods and I feel the best I've felt in years, and I'm ready to work. Thing is, I don't know how to get a job now since I've spent literally years being depressed and anxious doing nothing. I don't really have anything to put on my resume, and I never finished my AA degree either. All I've done is cashiering and although I do the job well and I get promoted easily when I do these jobs because I'm a hard worker and I try to go above and beyond what they ask of me,which is the attitude I have no matter what kind of work I'm doing as long as I'm getting paid. But I hate cashiering because it's too easy and I want a job that is more interesting. Any suggestions for me on how to get a job that is NOT Retail with the type of background I have right now? I also realize I have to go to college to get certain types of jobs, I am talking about what I can do right here right now.

Recently I have overlooked for a project at work and I am unable to accept it why? I am hard working, dedicated, maintain a very professional decorum, very cordial with my colleagues and bosses, give respect to one and all. Still people who take the p***, argue with managers, gossip mongers have been selected for some very responsible positions at work. I seriously can't get my head around it why, why unprofessional people who have no work ethics being selected over me, whereas I have a track record of excellent performance and never shy away from any work my manager ask me to do? I am at my lowest point and not getting hold of my manager to ask the question why not me, why them who can't even bother? I am feeling like a complete loser, giving years to this place, building my performance, trust and this is how I get rewarded. Why my life is so shit, anything I wish for turns to dust?

So I have a nice white button up shirt, business skirt and pants, and a suit jacket. I'm applying for a software development job and I'm very short and can look young so I'm trying to look adult, yet professional. I'm also attractive so I'm trying not to look too sexy. For the career fair I'm thinking of wearing just my nice shirt and a skirt with low heels. My reasoning being it's approachable and attractive without going overboard since the career fair hosts are mostly younger male recent grads. I want to be remembered but not intimidating. For my interviews I was thinking pants, suit jacket (power suit). My reasoning being it'll be older execs and HR people (mostly women) so less sexy with the pants but more powerful with the suit jacket. What do you think?!

How do I get my name out there? How much do event planners charge for their services?
