Is it to late to become a cook?

I am turning 21 this summer and I'm tired of working at these stupid jobs. I am going to be honest here. I hate school. I passed threw high school because God loves me. I was enrolled in a community college but It was not for me. I've been working for two years now at a nursing home, but I hate it. I have always wanted to be a chef. I love cooking food, decorating food, eating food. I love people's reactions to food. My cousin is a cook at the New York palace and at the New York westing hotel. He brings in near 100k a year and he does what he loves. He isn't even a chef! What do I have to do to become one? Do I have to attend school? A training? Cooking classes? I can't ask him because the guy is always busy and never messages anyone back. Any answer will be appreciated, just don't curse me out or call me gay for liking to cook. Lol

You're a young guy. You've got a long way to go. IF it's your passion....then go for it. Speaking of experience, you get better as you get older but you also get slower. It's not really for old people. Try cooking school.

If you're gay then go die in a hole. If not, then cooking is pretty manly. All the good chiefs are guys. It's never too late to learn cooking. You've been getting cooking training every day in your life by simply consuming food and memorizing the flavour and smell. Once you start getting into cooking, try make recipes... More
