Can anyone help me with Alaska natural gas pipeline?

I really have no clue about it. Can you tell me the things like. Whats the proposed project exactly? What the major players in the project, both for and against? Are they from Alaska? Whats the expected cost of the project and are there maintenance fees involved? Where will the money to build it come from? what will be the possible effects on the environment? Will this project create jobs in alaska, or contribute to the tax base?

There have been gas pipeline projects proposed for years but none have been built. There is currently a new idea proposed by Exxon, BP and ConocoPhillips to build LNG plants (liquified natural gas) and export Alaska's gas to markets like Korea, China, and Japan where LNG imports are in demand.
