Getting social security for bcg cystitis?

Hello my mother had recently had a cancer cell mover from her uterus. After her surgery she had to do something called a BCG treatment. Well she tried the treatment twice and she started to notice severe burning in her uterus. So severe that she can't eve work. Every time she goes into work they send her her home because the pain she experience is too much on her. She have been missing a lot of days of work and not making enough hours at work because she is unable to stand for a long period of time and she does house keeping at her job. She went to her doctors and they keep giving her all these pills that is not helping her with the pain she is experiencing from the treatment. SO my question is, Is there anyway that she can get partial social security benefits for this bcg cystitis being that it is keeping her out of work. Because she does not have any other income coming in. At least until she gets better. If so what should she do about getting the social security benefits? Thank you so much for all feed back. and suggestions.
