How do I deal with a perfectionist boss who micromanages me?

Without quitting (I like my job), or confronting her, or going over her head to her manager. I have only been working there for a month, and I think I am her first management job. She only manages me and one other person and he's leaving anyway.

There's only two options and you recognized both in your question. If she micro manages other isles probably hard wired that way and no amout of talking or confrontation will change her.
