Can you remember the exact moment when you realized that you would never be a Republican, ever?
My moment came in 1982. I had just lost my job as a construction superintendent on a job building houses under a Federal program to assist low income home buyers, leaving three hundred construction workers unemployed as well when Reagan stopped the program. I knew how to tend bar and applied to a country club which had an opening. But there were bowls of Jelly Beans everywhere and all the employees were dressed like Lawn Jockeys. I walked out and have been Free Of Republican Urges to this day.

Im not happy you you had problems. The way you reason this out, Im very happy your not a Republican. Why do Liberal Democrats refuse to research who is running the Democratic party? It/s cowardice to not see the truth.

The first time I logged onto Yahoo! Answers Politics and saw the kinds of vile racist questions self-professed Republicans publish here when they benefit from anonymity.

Middle school. My school district then qualified for the Robin Hood program in Texas. Basically they reached a cap and had to start giving tax money that went over this cap to poorer schools. The community was outraged. I saw no problem helping the less affluent.

So you became a democrat when you realized everyone can't afford a house without government assistance... err... interference, eh? Did you come back to reality when government inference crashed the housing market in 2008?

I remember when I became a Republican. When asked if unequal work deserved equal pay. Democrats say yes, Republicans say no.

About the same time I realized I would also never be a Democrat. The fall of 1995 when the federal government shut down because of partisan bickering, and it's only gone down hill from there.

I remember shifting from liberal to conservative as I grew up and gained wisdom. I remember deciding that party politics were dangerous to the country, as are the ignorant left wingers.

My revelation came when I saw the Democratic party as it really was, and I knew I had matured. I turned my back on liberalism and would never even think of working for the government. So, I became a part of the Republican party. Self-sufficient, responsible, and independent. Moody

Both Parties are corrupt as hell. However the Democratic Party is by far Communist and feeds on the unaware with slander and propaganda.
