Which would be better for me, Airforce or Navy?
I am about to finish college and the job market isn't the best. Before college I was almost made a marine with my friends, but I pursued a college education instead. Now I feel like I missed out, they both say life is good; they don't regret the decision. Anyway, I have a bachelors degree in psychology. I love the idea of waking up in the morning to fix planes or submarines. It took me a while to figure out what I like to do. I want to be a mechanic. I hate it took me so long. Everyone keeps telling me Go Officer! The thing is that because of the economy becoming a officer in either the navy or airforce, with a bachelors degree in psychology seems unlikely. Basically, What is the name of mechanic MOS for both branches? I have about $15,000 worth of student loans to pay back. What branch will allow loan repayment? Are there any bonuses given to mechanics in the military? Finally is there anything I need to know before I talk with a recruiter? Thank you in advance

I dont know about the navy, but the air.force will pay back your student loans if you go in as an officer.
