Is it possible to find a part time job at an elementary school?

I am referring to one that does not need a degree... I am currently in college... A lady that I met recently said she lived in Cali for a bit and had a job where she helped out with bits and ends at an elementary school and she told me to check it out... I've never heard of such a job though and would love to find out a bit more about it. I live in Washington state btw :D

You can check into being a teachers' aide. You need a high school diploma and a background check. You need to call a district office near your school and ask. Depending on the state aides have contracts and a union, so you'd need to ask about a job starting in September.

Substitute teachers. At least here in Texas, subs don't need a degree. You can also look into being a TA (Teacher assistant) it's also probably part time. Check it out at your local district's website.
