Liberals. Who was the first poor person you ever got a job from?

I'm very curious, since your president says we need to build this economy from "the bottom up". I personally have never gotten a job from a poor person. I did not grow up rich, my family was lower middle class at best. I got a running scholarship to college and I even worked the night shift at a Dunkin Donuts. Ah yes....the man was so kicking me down. ;) Side note, I even voted for Bill "BJ" Clinton when I was a freshman in college. He was cool, wore sunglasses and even played the saxophone...what more could you ask from a president. Bush Sr. was old and dull. We needed CHANGE. Suddenly, I had a job as a civil engineer and I was making decent money. d**n, isn't is great to be HANDED EVERYTHING IN LIFE? Man, so awesome. The guy I started working for had money. Yep, enough money to hire me and a few other people. Lucky b*****d...probably inherited it all. So here we are now libs. What is the solution? Keep attacking the "rich" as you call it? When you know d**n well it's the "rich" who are not all that rich who hire people and create jobs. Let's hear it you saps. Arkanovich: Admirable...but that does not pay YOUR RENT now does it? Try again. Forget War: Props. Yes that is usually how it is isn't it? Middle class. People with money to hire other people. Bolt thrower: Answer this then...why do liberals want the U.S. Corporate tax to be the highest in the world? If you were to build a factory, would you build it in the U.S. with a higher corporate tax rate or in a country with a lower tax rate? Wow, I know that's higher math for you...but please amuse me. :) Duh? Nate: Excellent counter; however...please tell me one job that a poor person creates? You can't. Demand? Yes....however who produces it? Poor people? Nope. Takes middle class people to build a yacht dummy. That's the point. Get it? Comrade Hill: No doubt jobs come from demand. So who demands it? Poor people? With money to buy all those neat and new products....(bzzzzzzzz) nope. Who produces it? Poor people with no pay from rich people? (Bzzzzzzzz). Try again sickle and hammer.

My first job was working for my dad's print shop. We weren't poor, but like the majority of job creators in this nation we are decidingly middle class.

Yes and if the poor get better off guess who they hand their money over to in exchange for products they need but can barely (or not at at all) afford? The rich, if you give rich people more money they do not HAVE to spend it, and it is the spending of the many that helps drive the economy (and keeps the rich...well... More

The rich are richer than ever before, as you well know. They keep squeezing us dry and as you say, Now what do we do? If the poor man had a fair wage and a chance at healthcare he may give you a job one day. So, I don't see your complaint. Clinton provided you with a future unlike Bush. Who are you for?
