Is this salary enough to live comfortably in London?

I'm from Poland and have been recently offered a job as an Assistant Product Manager in a bank in Central London. They are offering £40000 per year. I'm a payment cards professional with 5+ years of experience in financial services sector. I'm currently employed in a very similar position in a bank in Poland, where I earn the equivalent of £20000 per year. (life is way cheaper in Poland though)

Yes, as long as you don't live extravagantly. London is by far the most expensive area of the UK, and 40 000 will not last long if you spend it stupidly. But as the other person rightly said, most people in London don't earn that much, and so you'll do fine if you are wise.

£40,000 is enough to live comfortably in London. Not in central though. Your best bet is to live on the outskirts such as Harrow or Stanmore, and then commute into central.
