How can I believe I am being guided to the right job, people, etc.?

I have spent many years afraid to trust people. So of course often the people I have attracted have not been the people I can trust. I have also at times found really good people here on this site, in spiritual groups in person, great customers, etc. My prayer is that I am guided to the right person or people who have the right job for me. I know if I am specific I will get what I am specific about. I used to do this when I was younger with great success. I am not asking anyone to tell me to just take a job then change things. I know what I want & know I can get it yet I have this area that I feel I am not trusting in this process. What am I missing or what do I need to know or do to fill in this gap? thank you.
