Which types of software jobs am I eligible for?

I'm currently a senior pursuing a degree in Software Engineering. I need a job good enough to support myself and my family but local/non-technical jobs aren't cutting it. Is it likely for me to get hired for a position dealing with a language or technology that I am not familiar with? I'm a firm believer in hiring for the ability to learn rather than current knowledge, which is a bias view. Do others share the same view? My background thus far includes: Java SE C/C++ C# SQL XNA EMGU/OpenCV Basic knowledge in: Swing Android HTML/PHP/CSS 3D modelling Environments used: Eclipse (with subclipse) Visual Studio 2010 Text Editor with g++ compiler in Linux Tortoise Blender Microsoft SQL Management Studio Dreamweaver(very little exp)

Yes you'll be able to get a job in the IT field. Trust me, not all people works in the IT field would know all languages. Some of them just know only 1 and they tend to stay with it... More
