Does a computer scientist know how to make a computer?

Computer science designates the scientific and mathematical approach in information technology and its applications, notably computer software. A computer scientist is a scientist who specialises in the theory of computation. So, is a computer scientist knowledgeable about computer hardware? Does he know how hardware works? Can he make his own computer?

Yes he can. Bear Grylls ustu be one and he can make a computer from a few bits and pieces he finds in the wild like bird sh*t and wood. And then he can tell everyone on facebook that he is happy now in the wild eating seaweed and his own poop . Then he plays minecraft.

He should. Because being one means he basically deals with some aspect of computer architecture, specializes in it [parallel processing, quantum computers, efficient algorithms, etc] And someone who knows computer architecture should be able to put up a rig in under 5 minutes, given the components.
