Materials Sci & Eng Major?

I'm a high school senior considering to begin my studies in engineering next year. I believe that materials science and engineering is right for me. I LOVE physics, chemistry, and mathematics. I especially love atomic, nuclear, and electromagnetism, and the cool theories that explain why matter behaves the way it does. For instance, the crystal field theory amazes me because it explains why transition metals have their characteristic optical (color) and magnetic properties. I love to better understand the principles of physics and the properties of matter using intense mathematics like that found in quantum mechanics. For instance, I can't wait to learn the Navier-Stokes equations because then I will be able to better understand how fluids flow and I will be able to model fluid flow using computational models. Needless to say, I want my engineering major to involve a lot of physical science and intensive high-level mathematics. Yet, I am also very interested in the biological/medical applications of materials science (e.g. like chelating agents and nuclear medicine). Perhaps I could specialize in biomaterials? So my question is, if you know or are a materials engineer or student, does this major fit my interests (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computational modeling, and biological applications)? Please describe any further aspects of this major as well please.
