What are some negative effects of a capitalist society?

Just as an example, here is what Apple Inc. does: They make products that perform and last as close to consumers' minimum expectations as possible (they even sell expensive warranties that barely cover any damage). They make replacing the iPhone battery nearly impossible, so replacing the product in the only option. They discontinue updates to software, so buying the new version is the easiest solution. They opt for the cheapest of labor, so they can invest in a suicide net surrounding their factory. It goes on and on, and unfortunately the profit motive has a negative effect on every company, and every profession. The only concern is money: not the environment, not people, not making the best product/service. And when laws are made to rein in pure greed, companies move to where they can continue to be reckless.

One of the positive effects of a capitalist society is you have the right to criticise companies like Apple freely and refrain from buying their product. If enough people do this, well bye bye Apple! And you might even influence some through your free speech!

every economic system has advantages and disadvantages did you like the feudal system of europe or British Aristocracy of land ownership? Capitalism tends to concentrate wealth to a few if it is not regulated
