My 18 month old Grandbaby has a fever of 102.8?

My daughter brought her little boy over tonight and when I touched him, he was so very hot.....he felt like a heating pad that was on medium. We quickly got him in a cool bath and gave him acedimiphin and it brought it down to 101.3. Is it ok to give him motrin 2 hours afterwards, cause his fever is going back up, it's now 101.7

have you considered taking him to the hospital? If not, try a cold wet towel on his forehead.

Motrin is fine two hours after Tylenol, but don't give it more than every 6 hours (unless told to by a doctor.) As long as medication is taking it down, and he's taking fluids, there's nothing to worry about unless he's had the fever for 5 days. If he refuses fluids and stops having wet diapers, that's when you take... More

I don't think you should give him anything this soon. Just keep him hydrated and give him Motrin every six hours or whatever the box says. If his temp reaches 103 I'd take him to the ER
