Would it be okay to work in retail for 2 competing stores?

I got a job at American Eagle as a sales associate. But today, I went to a group interview at Hollister and I might be offered a job as an impact (stock). Both are part time seasonal jobs. So just for this summer. Do you think it will be fine to accept both jobs offers (if I get the Hollister job too)? Thanks! :)

It's not illegal. But there's a good chance that if one of the stores finds out, they'll fire you. The other thing that would be tricky is managing the two schedules so they don't both schedule you for the same time.

Hollister will tell you, if they offer you a job, that you're not allowed to work for the competition. They are assuming you will be quitting AE.

Take the sales job, and ditch the other one. Working in sales will do you much better in the long-run than working doing stock.
