Never had a harder time in my life. ?

I just need advice from mature adults that know a thing or two more than i do. Here is my situation. Before I got married about 2 years ago, I was a medical assistant in the biggest city around. I lived in a humble studio apartment by myself and made ok money which I used to pay rent, a car note, utilities, gas and groceries. I had dates with terrible men. I finally met a nice one from the country (an hour and a half away) and married him. At 1st we lived near the city where I worked. Closer to the city, rent was higher. So I sought jobs closer to his where we could afford to live more comfortably. For my mistake I accepted a temp job in the smaller town. They have sent me to only factories. It has been hard labor and long hours... I felt at times I couldn't handle it being that I've never been a fast or physically strong person). I also had been looking for other jobs, but with the long hours I found very little time to search and when I did, I found absolutely no opportunity. Now i have been without work for over a month. We are so broke and I'm desperate. I had 2 interviews. One at a place that decided they didn't want to go with me for whatever reason. The other place was Walmart and they wanted to hire me but I didn't accept because I am collected more in unemployment than they were willing to pay me. With no gas, and a car that desperately needs new brake pads and an oil change, I have finally resorted to calling every single place to ask if they are hiring like a teenager instead of going up there in person to drop off my resume. Only one said they need a receptionist at a doctors office, so I will be bringing my resume up there Monday. This is not my only problem... Lord I wish it was. We moved closer to my inlaws, about 15 minutes up the road, and a lot farther from my family. My mother in law is always hateful to me, making snide comments. She tells my husband it's my fault we are In this financial state. Their house is so filthy. I hate to judge but they should be on hoarders. I'll get to the point. I'm 28 years old and haven't had children yet; in have PCOS so I'm facing the fact that I may never. But I'd like to whenever we get out of this mess, as I think most women always want to. However my husband is completely against the idea of daycare-which bringing a city girl seems perfectly normal to me-and he wants our future child to spend hus or her days with his mother. It seems like a horrible idea to me, for obvious reasons. Also in the fact that I'm 28 years old, I have no college education. Ten years ago, I had no clue what kind of careers were out there. I saw an ad on tv, and became a medical assistant. Now I'd really love to go to college but I have an outstanding student loan. I wish that by now, we would be paying a mortgage instead of rent. Or by now many other things would have taken place in my life. What am I going to do?? Any advice at all.... Sorry this is long, and sorry it's a bunch of depressing BS but I don't really share my personal life with "friends" anymore, as I've been burned by the one I thought was my best as well.

I understand that your financial situation causes a lot of stress and all that also impacts your marriage. A medical assistant is not a bad job. Did you never try to get a diploma as a health care worker? You must have good references from your previous employer? I would try to find another job as a medical assistant... More
