How do I become a Deputy Sheriff Trainee?

Which do I attend the community academy, or the peace officer academy? How much do they cost? Or do I receive benefits like with the CHP academy? Do I have to sign up to take the tests or do I just show up? What happens after the test? Can someone sum up the entire process to me? From application to the date I'm an official trainee? And what does that mean? I'm 21, clean record, good health, but I have bills to pay.

Some agencies have their own academy and sometimes you may have to attend a community college like I did for the training. Visit my blog for more info on this.
