Is mechanical engineering a fun job? Are there good automotive jobs I can do?

I'm about to be a senior in high school and ever since sophomore year. I've been interested in cars,performance and how they work.i love it but I just wana be able to have a fun outstanding job with my degree.thank you for your time and god bless :)

As a mechanical engineer, I believe there are a lot of job opportunities available; this includes those in the automotive field. Do not think only at the job! Do think how you can become a great autoshop boss! To be a boss you need skills. Skills will be developed from learning experience. If you like automotive, means you have to run through the mess: oily and stuff then mastered it to become the owner or even professional on this field... More

My uncle does this type of work. He builds cars, tries new performance ideas on them, and races them. He doesn't have a degree, just a lot of experience with cars. You could go to trade school for mechanics, get your ASE certifications, get some experience in the field by working at a repair shop, then go into... More
