Can a Marine that was honorably discharged receive unemployment pay?

My hubby will be getting out of the military in a few months. I am worried about our finances as we have 3 children. Can anyone tell me if he is eligible to receive unemployment check when he gets out? He kicked out or anything, he did 8 years in the Marines and feels it's time to move on. Our home of record is Texas. Can he collect unemploymrt

unemployment is not available for discharge from the military

I know that for California, he would be able to. I believe, tho can't be absolutely sure, all states have Unemployment Insurance for veterans. Check your state's UI website for more info. Good luck.

No. It's a voluntary separation, and military doesn't qualify anyway.

yes when he goes to his out briefings they should tell him about signing up for that when he gets to his home state or where he will be living when he get out they should even be able to tell him how much he would get

yes,I think I collected $283.00 a week when honorably discharged in 1986.Big bucks back then.
