Should I oppose my Lecturers for receiving a better education?

CAUTION : - LONG QUESTION. BUT PLEASE READ IT . I BEG YOU. (!!! I Am Not Joking !!!) I am an average grade Indian student in a College. The place where I'm pursuing my degree is entirely a government funded Institute which is Under-Resourced and mostly full of average grade students like me. There are only few good Lecturers in my college who really try to explain the concepts to the students in a one hour lecture. All other Lecturers are amateurish. They would simply write certain things on the chalk-board and walk back to their room. They don't know the meaning of giving a lecture, because they themselves might be Poor and Average Students in their times, and they must haven't concentrated on their studies during their times. But everyone grows up and has to do Jobs to earn their Livelihood, Right!. So they simply got themselves Employed and are coming to the place, but they do not have the insight of the meaning of their job. And in this place, Castism and Groupsim also happen on a larger scale, so many people got their jobs not based on their qualifications or any other tests, but because of getting recommended by certain people who are at higher positions. But this cannot be proved because recommendations do not have proofs. And such Lecturers don't care about anything. They would simply copy the words from a booklet into the chalk-board, speak something about it and go away. Moreover, they would make the students sitting on the first row to Read a topic from the book, then would say something about it and then would finish the lecture. Is this the meaning of giving a Lecture? I watched online Lectures from many respected International Universities. Here are few of them : - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwClqBj4i… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkJreDzI3… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Zo93VDya… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ig-e509u… Then I understood what the Lecture means. And these Lecturers from my college who've occupied themselves in the college do not do their job this way (as shown in the above lectures). No doubt I am an average student like many others in my college, but as a lecturer isn't it their duty to give a good and understanding lecture everyday. So I started feeling betrayed because I am paying fees for going to the college like all other students. Again, No doubt the fees are less in a Government Institute compared to other Private Institute, but still it is not a Free Institute. I also pay for the Transportation, Books and Exam Fees. So I brought up the Idea that I should not attend the lectures of those Lecturers who do not put an effort to teach well. I also talked with other few students to do the same. But now I'm facing a dilemma that If I chose to oppose that way I will be called as doing 'Politics'. Because Politicians are the only ones who are always barking for such issues. But I know myself that I am not a Politician and I don't want to indulge in Politics, I just want to get a good lecture because I - and other students who are financially Poor would then get a good knowledge at low cost. So what to do? Please Answer as much you want. I don't mind long answers if you don't mind my long question. Thank You

Your problem is genuine but approach is negative. Be positive. Go in the class well prepared. Concentrate on the lecture instead of concentrating on lecturer. If you do not understand certain concepts, ask the teacher at the end of lecture or at the beginning of lecture next day. Never try to show that you know more... More
