Why does Obama continue to paint Romney as an outsourcer of jobs?

Obama is hitting the campaign trail again (has ne stopped campaigning since 2007?) and his campaign staff his central theme is Romney is an outsourcer of jobs. The Washington Post story that Obama is basing his attacks on has been proven false. So, why does Obama continue to paint Romney as an outsourcer of jobs? Do you think he will mention the 21,000 jobs that went overseas after the GM bailout?
