Why are we Americans not seeking the jobs in our country?

My fellow Americans, if you look around and ask people why they are unemployed, they'll say there are no more jobs here in America. But I don't get it.

Obama created like over 3 million jobs in the four years he's been President (and this is saying a lot because I don't normally support Obama's policies).

We have all these newly created jobs that are hiring and open for everyone, but people are saying there aren't any left.

Why is that?

Many of the new jobs are technology jobs. I work for a biotech company. They are hiring all the time, but if 20 percent of a states students drop out and get GEDs or go and get lib arts degree your not going to get a job in any industry with a need for some technical know how. Many of the people we hire come from other countries or are very educated. That is why we need to really push for technology programs in HS and college, because we have jobs, but most American are not qualified.

Oh come to england we are told all the people on sickness should be working and people under 25 should be thrown out of their social housing

no mention of jobs though although plenty of businesses closing and parents on housing estates should take parenting classes from a man who leaves his child in the pub with not 1 but 2 parents not realising

WHile I don't believe that Obama created 3 million jobs at all, even if there are some new jobs ,many people are trained in one profession and those jobs are gone. I lost my job 3 yrs ago. I collected unemployment and after the first 6 months they told me to look into a different field because the job I went to school for and did for 25 yrs no longer existed. It's not easy when you are over 50 to reinvent yourself ,especially when competing with young college grads. But to reiterate- I don't for one second believe Obama created any jobs like you say.He put the final nail in the coffin that all the ones that went before him built.

The People? The Culture? The Jobs? The Economy? The Education System? The Morals and Values? What changes in society have you witnessed in the past 10, 20, or even 50 years?

To me, it is so sorry what we have let our society, culture evolve into. I grew up in the 60's, and nothing like this even existed. Today you can't even comfortably send your kids to school. I remember being 9 years old and taking a bus to downtown St.Paul, and spending the day there. You can't do that in today's world. What have we evolved into?
