Why is viacom only doing this to DirecTV and not dish and other companies?

Why is viacom being a nut job only to directv but not dish? s*******u viacom. I want comedy central back!!

I think its because the contract is up with them but not dish. They will probably do it to dish too once the contract expires.

They had a contract with direct tv that just ended so now they must negotiate for a better deal. Fox just did that to but they came an agreement right befor FX andcompany were dropped.

It's because the contract between the two is up and they couldn't agree on a new contract.

they are doing this because directv wont pay the new viacom 30% price hike i am glad they standed up to viacom these price hikes is what make cable prices go up. Directv doesnt want to raise there price for there subscribers.

Their contract is up with DirecTV and they want some $$$. Back in the early 2000's ViacoN did the same thing to Dish. Personally I'm on DTV's side. Dish never gave us other free channels as a replacement NOR a bill credit after negotiations were done. I don't watch Viacom's channels a whole lot anyway.
