Why should things not be manufactured in China?

I hear people complain that companies are taking business to China in order to make things cheaper. As a result, we receive these products at a cheaper price. However, people want more jobs here in America. Why should companies do this? Wouldn't they have to sell things at a higher price, not to mention pay higher wages, benefits, healthcare, etc? Why complain if the company makes the decisions?

Well, China is a pretty crappy place to be a factory worker. So you can bet that those shoes you have from China probably, literally, cost some guy an arm and a leg to make. With that said it may make products cheaper but it drives inflation and reduces work opportunities at home... More

It is quite a puzzle to solve. The US has a balance of trade deficit approaching $40 billion dollars a month and that is at the heart of a falling American economy over time.
