Understanding why counrties did not adopt the euro.?
It is my understanding that their were/are 3 counties that did not adopt the euro. What I am not clear on is as to why Denmark did not (or did they?). I believe that at one point they did not but now they do. If this is the case then why did they not adopt in the beginning, but do now. This is confusing and I am seeking clarity. Can you help? Just curious!

In Denmark it was because the people voted against it. The government was for it, the unions were for it, the majority of the economic experts were for it. Lucky for them they did not join the Eurozone economy. It was nationalism or sovereignty and not answering to a central bank in Brussels.

In the case of the UK the worry was that the Pound would be devalued by 40 per cent . And that there was no safety net if some country had financial problems .
