Chances of getting in the cia?

I am very analytic. I am studying chemical engineering. I will graduate with around a 3.1-3.2 GPA in this degree which is considered pretty solid. I fit all of the requirements except for the drug part. In my first year of college I smoked weed quite a few times and did coke a couple times. It hurt my grades and I didn't feel good smoking so I quit. I plan on applying after I build my resume more after my first job so around when I'm 26 or 27. I am very loyal to the USA and have always wanted to serve it at one point in the military. Please tell me if my experimental drug use would cause me to lose this once in a lifetime opportunity or not.

No it wouldn't ruin your chances of getting into the CIA. If they didn't let anyone who did drugs in the past in there wouldn't be enough people to chose from. Just make sure your done with them and don't ever do them while on duty for the CIA. You might have to do some drugs though if your trying to get bust a drug... More

You'll have to take government test to see your way of thinking and how you process things. You will also go through rigorous test of ethics no matter how loyal you think you are. A GPA will determine none of those skills, those are just book smarts. You also need to be in physical shape depending on what you do in... More
