Is a Physical Therapy Assistant a sad job to work or not?

I am really interested in becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant, but my dad says it would be a sad job to work, which I disagree with him. Can any of you tell me more about it and can you tell me if it would be sad or not?

Why would it be a sad job? Yes you are working with people who have been injured but its not necessarily sad. You will get to see a patient improve with your help, nothing more rewarding than that. Besides depending on where you work you may get to work with professional athletes... More

Well I've heard that it's a good job once it's something you put your mind to and its something you really want to do.... Don't let your dad put you down or choose your career for you stick to something you want... And besides I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be the one signing your pay check and I believe there's no such...
