Seniors, any of you ever surf ?

It's hotter than blazes and I was thinking some nice ocean waves about now would be great. I never surfed, but sure liked watching it at Huntington and Newport in Cali. What was it like or would you ever dreamed of surfing ?

Body surfed years ago in Hawaii and California but could not get up on the board.

Yes, I did. about 40 years ago. I pretty much lived on the beach. Back then, we had to buy kitchen wax (the plain white stuff you get in grocery stores) to wax our boards. Since then, they have made these wonderful surf shops with fancy wax for your boards, all in beautiful colors... More
