If i have a security clearance, will i still be required to do a background check?
I am in the Marine Corps. I get out in 2 months. I have been offered a Federal Govt job position; however i hear that they may ask to do a background investigation. I am worried because i have a 2005 misdemeanor DUI and a 2001 shoplifting misdemeanor for stealing a music cd. I have a security clearance. The job is a administrative clerk GS9 position.
