Not much But I would say a Designer has graphic artist skills and the Developer has the knowledge to code it all, you need to be both really :)

A Web Designer will create how the website looks, like the theme of the site, all the colours and fonts etc. Whereas a Web Developer will make the website, like code it. Type thousands of line of script to make the site function, like for example, the search bar, it needs to be coded to search the Yahoo Answers... More
