Do i need to know how to make pizza even as a cashier at Pizza Hut?

I plan on applying for a job at Pizza Hut as a cashier. Im 18 and i have no work experience. Since i'm going to apply for this position, i was wondering: Do i also need to cook pizza?? Because i do not know how to cook pizza for crap, and i cannot trust myself with making food. I would much rather work at the register and answer phone calls. Please, no judgmental answers. Way too many ignorant people on YA lately.

It really depends on which kind of Pizza Hut you work at. At mine cooks, drivers, and managers are all supposed to answer phones and use the register. However, the bigger ones will have people to run the front only. Even if they do decide to cross train you it's very easy, I promise. I picked it up in about 2 days... More

Ha love the ignorant people a YA because it's true! ! Well about your application, make sure you write that you rather just do the cashier part and busboys(isn't that part if that job too? And waitering?) But I'm sure they will train you to make pizza but tell them you aren't comfortable and afraid to mess up I'm sure... More

They will teach you how to make pizza's if they decide that. If you're cashier just worry about that until they tell you differently.

They usually don't have someone at Pizza Hut who only runs a register. Other than the waiters and waitresses, most of the jobs behind the counter require you to do a little bit of everything. And it's actually pretty easy, because they have most of the process mechanized.

If your applying for a post of cashier there is no need to know how to cook a pizza , as far as pizza hut is concern work is divided into separate department , cashier falls in accounts department where-else cook fall in another criteria just give a try good day :))
