I cant afford university :-"(?
I have always wanted to go to university like ever since i was young right now i am 14 and my mom just broke it to me she isnt able to save up money for me to go im really dissapointed and upset that i wont be able to go and angry i wasnt told this before i actually started aspiring to go i wanted to go to cambridge or oxford and even though i know i proberly wouldnt make it i still wanted to go to one of the best universities and now i cant. My mom never went to university or college and she is a single mom with 3 kids and no job so i cant really blame her im just really torn i cant go after all this time aiming getting good grades aiming high and being a A* student what can i do?? THANK YOU! To everyone who is answering your really lifting my spirits and giving me hope :) xxxx

There are PLENTY of other students and university hopefuls like you - many are in much worse situations. Most, if not all, universities recognize this and provide financial assistance to cover tuition and other costs... More

Going to a university that isn't "the best" is still better than not going at all. Don't be so sure you would even get accepted into those places...find a backup plan. Your still young enough to work your butt off to earn scholarships, plus financial aid is a life saver! Breathe!

You absolutely can go, but it'll take some work on your part. You need to start saving right away and be sure to check for student loans, bursaries and scholarships. You can do it!

You can get student loans and grants that don't have to be paid till you are earning some fixed amount of money. (I could be wrong.) The amount you are loaned depends on your parents income, lower income=larger loan to help pay for living costs. You'll spend years of your life in debt but that's to be expected of... More
