Do republicans really believe voter-ID will stop undocumented workers from voting?

How do they know undocumented workers are not voting for them? Also, how many dead people vote republican. Have they heard of fake IDs? How do undocumented workers get jobs, education, and benefits in the first place?

It will be a step in the right direction, to insure legal voting on both sides of the isle. Why is that a problem for libs?

Yes. Yes I do. If it doesn't outright stop it it will severely deter it.

There could also be voter fraud in a number of other ways. I'm an Independent, but I believe this law should pass (at State levels... More

If even ONE ILLEAGAL voted Republican that would in itself be a reason for Democrats to vote for ID laws... too bad they don't! In so far as "how they get benefits", like obtaining an ID card one need do only one thing: APPLY

It can't hurt. By that logic, why even give people IDs at all, if they can just fake them? We have to make some kind of effort.

The few actual studies that exist suggest that there are very few cases of the type of fraud this would stop (undocumented voters would have to claim to be someone else - current laws still require you claim to be a registered voter), and that a larger number of legal voters would find it difficult to vote (it's...
