Buying a home in Israel, is it difficult for Olims with 3 children?

Would a couple and three kids under 8 years of age as new Olims be able to find a home with a little as 15k savings before the dream of Aliyah slips due to economic problems lol I copied and pasted other benefits for Jewish families as Olims here: On arrival, you will get a check for approximately 5,000 dollars( I do not know the age of you children). You will have a free transport to the place where you said would be your residence. You will not pay customs duties and levies on the good you brought with you. You will get the "teudat ole" ( it will be your temporal identification document) at the airport. Then you will have to go to Misrad Hapnim( Ministry of Interior) to get the teudat zeut( identification document) for you and your children. Then you have to open a bank account. Then you go to Sal Klita- it´s a local branch of Ministry of Absorption- and there you will get all the information about what other benefits you are entitled to and they will tell you the exact sum you will get a month as a social benefit for chidlren( three children would be about 350 dollars). After you give them your bank account you will start to get regular payments that will cover a big part ( sometimes 100%) of your rent payment and will leave you with somewhat around 500 dollars above that - plus those approximately 350 you will get as a social aid for children. ATTENTION: the aid for children is more or less constant, but the part of aid paid to adults will be gradually reduced with time. Don´t hope you will be able to comfortably sit on it indefinitely and start looking for a job. Of course, you and all members of your family will have discounts in Social Insurance. The first year you have benefits in Customs (these benefits can be extended up to two years). It´s very important if you decide to buy a car. If you decide to buy a flat or a house during your first seven years in Israel you will pay reduced interests for mortgage loan . In most cases, you will have "a gift", i.e. a part in the property price the State of Israel pays for you. This part sometimes is superior to $20,000 If you decide to buy a flat or a house in some special areas, the "gift" part may be even bigger. Of course, Hebrew courses will be free of charge for all of you.

You don't get money for being an Olim. Sometimes, you can get housing for a while & help getting settled in. This isn't the place to ask. Call the embassy and ask them!!! They'll give you the right office that has all the details... More
