What should a assistance product manger work in London earn?

I been working for this company since january. And was hired a a product manager. It is a small company about 10 people and they are expanding like crazy. When I started I came from a designing background so i didn't have any experience... On top of all of this they were paying me 30,000... Until... I was soo lucky to land a job with this much money and I have no experience. But I grew into the role, in the following 5 months (now may ) the company expanded like mad from 10 to 40 people - we hired left right and center - we go so many people .... And in that time I was adapting to my role but I was doing soo much more -campaign manger, sales, SEO, managing the designing team, product description, hiring a team of translates ... I did so much work and I didn't mind...  My worries starts now, because in June I had a meeting with one of directors, he told me its time to start working and focusing more on product managers, so I'm back on excel sheets and really working my ass off and self teaching the half stuff to my myself and really showing what I can do, from what I can search and find. They were pleased, but was not good enough ... I understand .. Soo they hired a senior girl over my head in July ... So I'm like this is great this is good finally I have a manger to help me out and teach me But just yestrerday they spoke to me and said the workload is ok heavy on my hear an they want to cut my salary to now 24k and lesser the work and responsibility. But yesterday they spoke to me And said they reviewed my salary and wanted to re position my role.  They told me in a boarding meeting few people were close to firing me as lack of experience and salary based... But they didn't instead they offered to cut my work load responsibility teams to take my salary from £30,000 to £24,000. They said they love me and don't want me to go but they can't afford to keep me at that rate - I'm just not worth it...  Another thing bugging me is that they are going to take me off contract position ... And give me a new one.. It's been 1 month now ?? It's oct ?? Can they change my salary with out a new contract ? Need help and advice
