Which is harder, engineering school or an engineering job?

I am a mechanical engineering student currently taking physics 2, statics and differential equations and a few easy general ed classes. I love motors and working with stuff. I just don't like the math/computer use as much. Also I see where other majors go to parties and have lots of free time, not to mention alot of them end up making more after they graduate. please give me some insight. please add your source of this knowledge.
