How to work a cash register at a bakery?

So I have just been told I have an interview tomorrow at a bakery, this place is pretty big. Well honestly I've never worked before (long story) point is I dnt know how to work a cash register. I'm pretty sure there's no scanner to pass the food items meaning I'd have to type the price down. I would like to have an idea so I can feel more comfortable if I get hired and put on register duty. Can someone help? :-)
