Very little need for catastrophic care compared to routine care including doctor visits, surgery, xrays, medication. How would that help most people ? Seniors usually avoid emergencies by taking care of themselves with Medicare paying for some of it. Most seniors dont use the hospital care as much as routine services... More

Why not single-payer? France has the world's best system, according to the WHO, at half our per capita cost. If we use hospice more and chemo less for last stage cancer, we could end the debt crisis.
