Why did god allow for sin to take place?

God is all knowing. He knows exactly what will happen and when. We also know he has amazing powers. He hates sin. Well If he is all knowing, and has amazing power, why did he give Adam and Eve the choice in the first place? He obviously gave them a choice, but he knew eve was going to defy him. So he knew sin would be created. Then he gets upset at them for defying him? Satan has little to do with my question, and neither does the will of man. My question purely is about God's power, and allowance of sin. So why?

God didn't want robots. God wanted humans love and obey Him because they wanted to not that they were forced to.

God was a sinner himself, he violated his own Commandment. "Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Wife", but Mary was someone else's wife. God knew that Free Will always results in people sinning. But keep in mind that sin is what keeps religion in business.
