Why was Bloomberg's nanny state more interested in soda size than keeping floodwater out of the subway?

Flood experts for years have warned for years about this occurring, suggesting floodgates and levies to prevent it. Problem is, busybody government distracted by trans fats and the like keeps our elected officials from doing the really big jobs that it ought to be doing.

Lord Bloomberg has yet to address a "real" problem in any of the boroughs. The man and his hand-picked cronies are treating the people like serfs.
