Jobs like Mythbusters?

I'm leaving school pretty soon and I know that I really want to do something like on Mythbusters where they solve problems using science and heavy machinery. I don't mean that I want a job proving myths right or wrong, I enjoy the concept of solving problems using science, electronics and as I said, heavy machinery. I am currently taking industrial technology which gives me the education i need in learning about industrial equipment such as lathes, and I also lean all about welds, also I am good at all 3 sciences and enjoy building circuits. Does anyone know any jobs that could come from that description? I honestly have no idea. I know M5 aren't posting job applications as it is used for Mythbusters now, but maybe something like that? Thanks
