Is working as a Financial Adviser relevant experience for the top MBA programs?

Considering applying for a part time MBA at one of the UC campuses, just wondering is working as a financial adviser with Prudential, selling insurance and such, relevant work experience for MBA? @Paul well the position is titled Financial Adviser but the work is mostly selling insurence, I believe it's called bait and switch

Selling insurance requires meeting customers' needs, satisfying company goals, having responsibilities, and making decisions. It is work for which you get paid. If you're just peddling dubious insurance to suckers, it's not considered relevant, honorable experience for MBA admission.

How does "selling insurance for prudential" qualify you to call yourself a "financial adviser." You're an insurance salesman, period.
