I am moving to Miami, what is it like, the people and surroundings?

I am moving to Miami next year to go to school. Do anyone know how it is out there, living wise? I am a little nervous because I am finally moving out of New York to go to college. I am studying Fashion Merchandising. Is it easy to find a job in Miami? I just need some insight.
