Are Flashback Arrestors required when waterproofing with LPG?
A Safety Manager has stopped our job on the mine, as the work instruction only states that a flashback arrestor must be used with any gas burning/cutting equipment. As we are using LPG gas to perform waterproofing, i tried to explain to him that there isnt a specific flashback arrestor for LPG on the market. However, he wants proof of why there isnt, and why i can be allowed to continue without the arrestor. I also need to write a letter in application for consession. Any advice would be helpful.
